How it all began
The door burst open to the queen's bed chambers. The startled Queen grabbed her baby and stood close to the bassinet. The guards ran into the room and took positions against the walls to the entrance of the door and General Wolff slowly walked through the door and up to the Queen.
She knew why he was there and held her child close to her chest. General Wolff reached out his hands to the baby with a look of regret. He winked at her as he took the baby from her. She was reluctant to let go but knew General Wolff would do what was needed no matter what the end consequences were. He took the child and slowly turned around and started towards the door. All you could hear was his footsteps when a cry came from the bassinet.
General Wolff stopped and walked back putting the child against his chest. He slowly moved the blanket to see another child with pure blue eyes and a smile that would melt even a harden heart. The General picked up the child with his left arm and cradled the child next to the other one.
He took one more glance at the Queen and walked out of the room only looking back once as he exited the Queens chamber. The door shut and one single shot rang out. The Queen laid dead next to the bassinet.
